Lara + Paul

Lara + Paul

Lara and Paul met in 2011 and became the bestest of friends that share the same family values and morals. Both wanted an intimate wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family, which they can share their most precious moments and memories. Lara shared with us her story about how she overcame her biggest obstacle of her life before the wedding.

Lara wore Jaimi from our Collezione collection, a dress with an hourglass bodice with stunning beadings. The skirt and train was a feminine organza wave, that will make you the center of attention.

We are so excited when we see the gorgeous smiles of Lara and Paul in their wedding photos. We hope you enjoy their wedding photos as much as we did. To get a dress like Lara’s, make an appointment with us today.

Tell a little bit about you and your partner.

We met at The Garden in Leederville in 2011. Paul is my best friend! We both have the same family values and morals instilled within us. We both see ourselves having children and travelling around more of Europe. He supports me no matter what, he’s my rock, strength and courage. He’s a generous and loving, strong minded, determined and passionate person. Our wedding expectation was to be surrounded by our closest family and friends to share in the most important day of our lives and begin our bright future together as husband and wife.

I had major abdominal surgery 5 weeks before my wedding. I was in Fiona Stanley Hospital for 10 days. I didn’t think I was going to get married. This was the biggest obstacle I’ve ever had to face in my life. Without the support from my husband, close family, friends, Silverchain nurses and most of all belief in myself that I would walk down that aisle, my wedding day wouldn’t have been possible. Collezione and Amelia Santini were so supportive and understanding and allowed me to have alterations made only a few days before my wedding.

How he/she popped the question?

He proposed in Santorini, Greece. After having a lovely dinner we returned to our apartment overlooking the beautiful view and water. We were on our balcony and Paul got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He gave me a fake ring from Diva to wear on holiday. When we returned to Perth we got my engagement ring designed and made by Ross Ezekial.

What is the most exciting part of the planning?
Sharing the planning process with my mum is something that was so special to me.

How to pick “the” perfect gown?
Don’t get bombarded looking at too many options, narrow it down right from the beginning and go with your gut feeling, when you try “the one” on you will just know

Favourite memory of the wedding?
Walking down the aisle toward my future husband with my brother, sharing that special moment with him was indescribable and something I will cherish forever.

One tip for those who are planning now

 Be decisive  - don’t procrastinate
